The much regrettably delayed feedback in relation to your winning the third place in AWT's Earth and Its People contest.
The first thing that captured my eye is the sheer VASTNESS that one can see and almost feel through this image. It just conveys such an strong sense of space and so effectively capture both the Earthly (land and sky) as well as the human elements. The way you've applied the rule of thirds, giving the sky the larger part of the image and thus capturing the majestic clouds and the hills in the distance is what adds this feeling of openness, and a sort of sense of freedom to this image. Almost as if the boundless space surrounding the man on his bike represent the boundless potential he has.
Technique wise, there is very little to say as you've captured a very sharp crisp image, with even the smallest details harp and clear nad very little room too improve.
Overall I'd say that your picture beautifully captures the Earth element and it also merges it with the human element almost seamlessly, however, certain defining aspects of what makes us human are missing as the biker seems almost like a statue, an expressionless figure. BUt these are just nitpickking based on the theme.
